North Cave Sports and Social club is situated at the playing fields, with the main entrance opposite the church. Its purpose is to provide a focus for local sporting activities and social events. Its wider objective is to raise money in order to support and maintain the grounds, the cricket club, the football club and others. There is a well stocked and affordably priced bar and a pool table. Membership is only £2 a year.
The club is run by a committee of about 20 people, elected annually from within the local community. Meetings are held once a month.
Each year we hold two major fund raising events being Bonfire Night and the Gala. We also have many other things going on throughout the year - see the entertainments page for current details. In addition there are regular nights for bingo, darts, etc.
The club and bar are always open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday have a late licence 'til 2.00 a.m. The bar is often open on the other week days depending on club events.

Notices and news
The gala weekend was a great success raising about £3,500 towards the costs of running the Playing Fields and Play area. The weather, particularly on the Gala Day, was variable with blazing sunshine and brief downpours. Thanks to all the volunteers who worked long and hard to make it all possible.
